Schools and educators are exceptionally positioned to aid students in developing into healthy, resilient, technologically-sound and productive global citizens. In order to succeed, however, students need access to a well-rounded education including physical and health education, nutrition education, mental and behavioral health services, counseling and technology-proficient educators.
Title IV Part A includes activities in three broad areas:
- Providing students with a well-rounded education including programs such as college and career counseling, STEM, arts, civics and International Baccalaureate/Advance Placement
- Supporting safe and healthy students with comprehensive school mental health, drug and violence prevention, training on trauma-informed practices, and health and physical education
- Supporting the effective use of technology that is backed by professional development, blended learning, and ed tech devices.
Without the appropriate funding, districts and schools will be forced to choose which of the above priorities to invest in – even though evidence has proven students ultimately need all of them. This is one of the many ways in which partnering with Learning Exchange can help. Their knowledgeable and experienced staff will ensure federal funding is allocated correctly and justly in your school programs.
TITLE IA
